Congratulations to Joe Higgins on his election to the European Parliament. Joe has been a tireless worker locally in Dublin 15 for many years, and it was a great disappointment to many in Dublin West – Gombeen Man included - that he lost his seat in the last General Election.Even those who would differ with Joe on some points (such as Lisbon) would agree that he is a force for good, is 100% genuine, and really is “the best fighter money can’t buy”.
Gombeen Man is sure he will use his new position as an MEP in a positive way, hopefully from within a strengthened European Parliament post Lisbon Two, to fight for workers’ rights from within.
